The Pratt known to be the best ski on the way out in big stuff
Proven performer 2005 2nd 2006 3rd worlds SLS champ with Kurt Tutt
1 or 2 in every Aussie final
The modifications to the 2008 Pratt are
Great big ventures
Self locating rudder, when your in the gutter waiting for the start one pedals back the other forward the new Pratts pedals are always straight!
Two very comfortable different seat heights.
The standard seat is slightly lower than the 2007 model and reshaped for maximum comfort the lowest seat means way more stability for beginners/social or older retired paddlers.
Adjustment for different length legs from 5ft2 out to 6ft6
The narrowing and pulling in of the water line at the front giving it better excelleration through the water off the beach.
The seat has been bought forward slightly so to has the rudder, benefits being better to respond turning into the can and easier picking up a runner on the way back in, the rudder being more forward means cleaner water for it to work & it tracks across the face of a full part breaking wave noticeably better.
The Single foot-well has been the biggest change to the look of the ski and a standard issue on all LD skis now days.
After you paddle the ski & do your first jump start and just drop in, you wonder why you ever had 2 narrow slots for you legs for so long.
